Delete your SyzUp account
This page explains how to permanently delete your SyzUp account and the personal data linked to it. It is publicly available — you do not need the app installed or an active login to use it.
Application and developer
Option 1 — delete in the app (immediate)
If you still have SyzUp installed, this is the fastest route. The request is processed by our server immediately — no waiting, no email.
- Open SyzUp and go to Settings.
- Select Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account and the data listed below are removed right away.
Option 2 — request by email
Use this if you have already uninstalled the app or cannot sign in. Send a message to:
Suggested subject line: Account deletion request
- Include the email address of the account or your username, so we can identify it.
- Send it from the email address linked to the account. This is how we verify that the request is really yours — requests from other addresses cannot be honoured without additional proof of identity.
- State clearly whether you want the entire account deleted or only part of your data (see below).
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes the following. This cannot be undone and the data cannot be restored afterwards.
- Public profile
- Username, avatar, motto, country, gender, rank, XP, level, statistics, frames and cosmetic items.
- Private profile data
- Body weight, height, year of birth, city, language, experience level, and your push notification token.
- Workouts
- Workout history, cloud backups, exercise progress, adherence and streak records.
- Training plans
- Plans you created yourself and plans assigned to you by a trainer.
- Arena records
- Your submitted records together with the video files and their thumbnails.
- Community activity
- Posts, comments, likes, follows and blocks.
- Messages
- One-to-one chats and their contents.
- Notifications
- Your in-app notification history.
- Username reservation
- Your username is released back into the pool and becomes available to other users.
- Trainer panel (if applicable)
- Trainer–client relationships, notes, measurements, goals, check-ins and programmes.
What we keep, and for how long
A small amount of data survives account deletion because the law requires it. It is kept only for the purposes below and is not used to rebuild your profile.
| Data | Why | Retention period |
|---|---|---|
| Security logs | Detecting and preventing abuse, and protecting the service. These records include an IP address. | 30 days |
| Billing and commission records | Tax and accounting obligations. Payments themselves are processed by Google Play; we hold the subscription event history and referral commission records needed for our own books. | 5 years from the end of the tax year |
| Record of your deletion request | So we can demonstrate that the request was received and carried out. This entry holds only an account identifier and a date — no email, username or IP address. | 6 years from deletion |
| AI usage logs | Cost control and abuse prevention for the plan generator. These records hold no workout content — only which feature was called and how many tokens it cost. | 365 days |
| Moderation records | Where an account was suspended or banned, a record of the decision is kept so the same behaviour is not repeated under a new account. | 6 years from deletion |
| Anonymised content | Any content that remains after deletion is stripped of its link to you and can no longer be attributed to a person. | Indefinitely, in anonymised form |
How long it takes
Deletion from within the app takes effect immediately. Requests sent by email are processed within 30 days of receipt, in line with Article 12(3) GDPR. In practice it is usually much faster.
Deleting part of your data without closing the account
You do not have to delete everything. Write to the same address and tell us which data you want removed — for example your workout history, your Arena videos, or your posts — and we will delete that and leave the account intact.
